Any thoughts on an airbox for Webers

I've had a similar (Lotus manufactur) device on my Elan for years. No problem. I've never heard of a problem with fuel pooling. Feed it with a nice hose and an air filter and you will be in great shape - provided it fits that is.

I'm not sure it will fit, but I'm curious about an airbox for my xflow

I've heard there are risk like fire from fuel blowing back in. Perhaps a small hose tapped into the bottom to let pooled gas drain out would help.

What would catch on fire? Do you not have air filters? Are your carbs spitting - if so, why not just have the carbs tuned?

I've experienced a fire from spitback from a pair of 45 dcoes Happily a Fire extinguisher was handy.

It's No Joke.. fit the drain tube.

Here's the st.steel box I have on my 240Z - the top and side are one piece and removeable, air horns are inside, tube connects to air filters outside the hot engine compartment. Works really well... something similar could be fab'd for a 7.
