Hettric
Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know if there are interference issues with headrests and roll bars? I just bought a 1997 super Sprint with leather seats, the PO left the headrests off (and lost them). The roll bar has a single diagonal, do they not fit with this bar? Thanks
bsimon
If they are the pre-S-type one piece seats (without the lift out butt pad), the head rests will not fit with the diagonal (FIA) roll over bar unless you wear trousers with a 25" inseam. The seats have to be in the most forward position to fit the headrests. I believe the S-type seats allow a little more rearward travel with the headrests in place. Hettric
Thank You for the reply. The seats have a lift out bottom so I assume they are S-type? I see "1/2" head rests here http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=3854 Are they what works? That bar looks awful hard!
bsimon
Since my car is an older vintage, I've not had any experience with S-type seats. The combination of 1/2 headrests and S-type seats may just be the ticket. You may want to run a search on BC TechTalk to see if there is any conversation on this subject. I was told by Jon at Caterham USA that I could run full headrest with my seats (I have the lift out bottom seats as well).
