Boxologist Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 registration: http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm/event/event.advert/uidEvent/CA872B1B-A5F1-F337-DCF79006EC799E2F Warran is in already. If I can ever get around to getting Snake Bit out and giving it a shake down I'll be in. Supposedly Chris Bernard will be in attendance. Not sure if NormB will come up yet. This is the best surface in the northeast. Possibly the best non concrete site in the nation.
Boxologist Posted April 30, 2012 Author Posted April 30, 2012 Warren emailed me that Chris Bernard will come out and play. Waiting to hear back from Norm. I will probably pick up a co-driver. Anyone else want 2+ or cars, competition, and possibly red solo cup beverages after hours.
The Stig Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 I looked at this event as not done any since coming to the US. Did plenty of hillclimbs and sprints at all sorts of venues so like the solo stuff Working away the week before so may be an issue but keen to do at least a few events this year. The AutoX website is not too helpful for first timers but already an SCCA member so part way there. Any advice for first event with the seven? Even the classifications seem a little confusing, where do crossflow sevens end up?
Boxologist Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 D Modified. Welcome to SCCA All Lotus 7 clones go straight to Modified. D for 2000cc and under, E for larger. There are autoXs at the Meadowlands Saturday (NNJR SCCA) and Sunday (NNJR PCA). Warren will be out one of these days. More info the NY Metro area is usually at http://www.autox4u.com. If you have any questions, it may be faster just to ask me.

Boxologist Posted May 13, 2012 Author Posted May 13, 2012 Redgoose stopped by yesterday and said hello. Finally got to see his schweet r500!
super7guy Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Hi For all of those that don't like the new aero rules, engine placements, etc. in SCCA D&E modified classes, some of us are going to have a silent protest by keeping the headlights mounted when we run our street registered sevens. Our neat sevens that we love are aero bricks! Wayne
