  1. These are all vintage components that would be required for a 1600 BDR kit. Complete from intake to collector. From the pictures of a BDR kit, the exhaust pipes and collector are not provided. Cosworth head has been machined, welded and pressure tested by a machinist who also builds Top Fuel motors. New custom valve guides were installed along with strong recommendation to use new valves. The head is marked with “EC 72” and other markings. The original head work was performed by Vegantune using their cylinder head components. Cosworth cam tray has “BA” markings and contains reinforcing blocks fitted at the first cam support. BDD race cams were reground by Schneider to 284 duration with 0.400 lift. These cam specs still provided over 9K with a steel rotating assembly on the Schlossnagel engine dyno where 185 HP was recorded. Cosworth intake manifold is port matched to the head. Cosworth pistons and all sprockets are included with 56 new and used top hat shims. Cosworth/Ford cam cover contains a plaque with the Vegantune ID number. The Caterham exhaust pipes for the 3 bolt flange are sand formed and the fitted collector and are no longer available making these exact fit headers very rare. The headers and collector have been powered coated. Time to divest of remaining Lotus, Caterham and Cosworth parts, still "super7guy7@yahoo.com" Asking $4K or OBO, located in San Diego,CA Cosworth cam card.pdf Cylinder Head Service.pdf
  2. Rodnok, Have a pair of NOS undrilled clams with depression for hood clips as advertised here. Also have a collection of S2, S3 and Caterham spring clips. Pics upon request. Located in San Diego, CA
  3. Michael, Thanks for the inquiry and my bad, to not respond sooner. I have a rental that I am preparing to sell and that has taken my time every day, every daylight hour. I can be reached using my "super7guy7@yahoo.com" email or call my cell (619-729-8314) BTW, in all my years of racing the super 7s, Bill Schlossnagel is the only one that ever did any suspension related welding. 4. Price drop to $800. Will help with form of packaging to help reduce your shipping cost.
  5. This axle is similar to the vintage Cortina replacement, but is the narrow axle from the Anglia. It is approximately 4" shorter for the narrow EnFo Anglia. As shown in the pics, it is all setup for installation into solid rear axle chassis. It is built by known race car builder in San Diego (Schollsnagel) braced and bracketed. Very rare, $900. 6. NOS, pair of clams shells with bonnet clip indents. Never drilled. Handling scratches only. $550. More pics available. NOS clips available separately, both styles. Wayne in San Diego
  7. I have a correction to make regarding the interpretation of the chassis tag. The correction is related to the "VC" proportion of the tag. I think that the "VC" stands for Vegantune Components. At the time, there was only the "VTA" engine. As shown later, Caterham also put a version of the "BD" range of motors, one of them being the 16V version. Again, there were street versions, BDR, (i.e. head and pistons, etc) that had the appearance of BD, but still a redline of 7200 rpm since the stock bottom end was not changed. Caterham was working with Vegantune (for the VTA replacement) and the Vegantune version of the BDA was in the works at the same time. There was also the race version with redline 9500 rpm using a steel crank and rods. I have all the components for that version (crank, rods, pistons, etc) and ancillaries including dry sump pump, dry sump pan, dry sump oil tank, sand-cast headers, motor mounts, etc). While the modified 2L Zetec was better suited to soloII, it can not compare to the thrill of a 9K motor with the power boost coming in at 5K and climbing at the way to redline. I have found more information on Vegantune on-line which I can share. Vegantune closed in 2012, so not able to find anyone that worked there, again also online. Wayne
  8. Picture of the long cockpit, big tube chassis taken by Caterham personnel for us at the old Caterham shop behind the gas station in the town of Caterham. This was taken in 1983 before being shipping to Long Beach, where we picked it up. If the chassis tag still exists, it will show the "VT" in the number. The "27" is the 27th of the big tube chassis.
  9. Did not where it has been since sold in 2020. I have the original Vegantune BDD engine and all encillaries (dry sump tank, 3 bolt headers, etc.) The Vegantune engine is very rare. Caterham where supplying the Vegantune VTA, but only a few BDD, all steel, 9K engines.

  17. Yes, clutch arm fulcrum sounds like the proper term. It is really just a fancy bolt. The washer on the bolt stops it from going in to far and provides stability to the pin. If the threads go all the way through the bellhousing, the bolt can be stabilized and the length adjusted by using a stop nut on the exposed threaded portion. By filing a slot or square at the end of the bolt, its length can be changed without damaging the threads.
  18. Not sure if this applies for your application, but here is what I did to correct clutch problem alignment. I had to make a longer pivot arm bolt to move the clutch arm closer to the pressure plate. Since the bolt is threaded, obtained a longer bolt and ground the head to match the profile of the old bolt. If the bolt protrudes through the back side of the bellhousing, ground a slot or a square so the bolt can be adjusted externally. Wayne

  21. A lot will depend on how original your seven really is. Many are original except the skin has been replaced and additional tubes welded in. Some are missing some or all instruments. Many do not have the engine that came from Lotus with the seven and some have full chassis and engine replacements and full running gear changeout. You many not be able to answer these questions if you do not know the history of your car back to a few years after it left the Lotus factory as many were modified early on. When you truly know what you have, you can better aim for a market. Wayne
  22. Michael, I have pressure plate and disc from RAM, purchased through Speedway behind my zetec. It was smaller and lighter than the brit one which I think was for a JH. Look under pinto 2300. The PP is even drilled for our over sized (3/8") PP bolts. RAM provided good customer service and Speedway provided good prices. Wayne
  23. thanks Van, I am surprised as when I weighed my long block zetec with lightened steel flywheel and clutch , no manifolds nor engine mounts, ready for install was 215 lbs. This agrees with racelinea value of 95 kg. Wayne
