  6. Yes, clutch arm fulcrum sounds like the proper term. It is really just a fancy bolt. The washer on the bolt stops it from going in to far and provides stability to the pin. If the threads go all the way through the bellhousing, the bolt can be stabilized and the length adjusted by using a stop nut on the exposed threaded portion. By filing a slot or square at the end of the bolt, its length can be changed without damaging the threads.
  7. Not sure if this applies for your application, but here is what I did to correct clutch problem alignment. I had to make a longer pivot arm bolt to move the clutch arm closer to the pressure plate. Since the bolt is threaded, obtained a longer bolt and ground the head to match the profile of the old bolt. If the bolt protrudes through the back side of the bellhousing, ground a slot or a square so the bolt can be adjusted externally. Wayne

  10. A lot will depend on how original your seven really is. Many are original except the skin has been replaced and additional tubes welded in. Some are missing some or all instruments. Many do not have the engine that came from Lotus with the seven and some have full chassis and engine replacements and full running gear changeout. You many not be able to answer these questions if you do not know the history of your car back to a few years after it left the Lotus factory as many were modified early on. When you truly know what you have, you can better aim for a market. Wayne
  11. Michael, I have pressure plate and disc from RAM, purchased through Speedway behind my zetec. It was smaller and lighter than the brit one which I think was for a JH. Look under pinto 2300. The PP is even drilled for our over sized (3/8") PP bolts. RAM provided good customer service and Speedway provided good prices. Wayne
  12. thanks Van, I am surprised as when I weighed my long block zetec with lightened steel flywheel and clutch , no manifolds nor engine mounts, ready for install was 215 lbs. This agrees with racelinea value of 95 kg. Wayne
  13. Did you get the weight of the duratec before install? also what is and is not included in that weight. thanks, Wayne
  14. http://www.harborfreight.com/74-bin-mobile-double-sided-floor-rack-62269.html the bottom shelf is wider for stability; don't fit in with the other foot prints. The section removed was 5-6 inches. each bin is labelled for nuts, bolts and washers. Easy to find what you want. The rolling cart with 2 shelves can be bolted to the top of the 3 shelve unit which makes it a lttle less stable, so be careful on uneven surfaces. Wayne
  15. Not sure about the cabinets with drawers, but my garage storage solution uses many rolling carts some of which are stacked using the 2 shelf cart on top of the 3 shelf cart. Everything is on wheels. One HF item that I have used a lot, is the cart with plastic bins on both sides. The bottom piece was sectioned to make it the same width as the carts. For me, it holds all the SAE and metric hardware; easy to find in each labelled bin. Wayne
  16. ... edited... please start a different thread with your for-sale item. thanks. admin
  17. If you want softer tires, try Avon A15 (soft) or A92 (super soft). The A15 is available in the most sizes compared to the A92. Wayne
  18. Can you provide pictures? Is the speedo drive the same for the 5 speed and the 6 speed? is the plug the same size? thanks, Wayne
  19. Look at the new product - holley hydramat Wayne
  20. The switch should be three way, left, off, right turn indicators. It is in the way when driving gloves are used in competition. Wayne
  21. Hi Guys, If you follow Cosworth lore, the BDR is only a head conversion on the kent block. To get the real HP, requires steel crank and rods, giving 9500 rpm capability, like the BDD. A BDR conversion was on race-cars.com to get an idea of the conversion. My Vegantune BDD uses some Cosworth parts with the corresponding "co$worth" in the prices. Wayne
  22. Gordon,

I was able to use the gearbox as collateral with a friend and hope to get it our of "hock" later in the year. Initially behind the zetec and later behind the vegantune BDD.

  23. Wheeler Dealers shows Caterham as feature on Velocity at 6pm PST or 9pm EST. Should be interesting to see what they do. Wayne
