My partner and I are off next week to the Ridge to shake down our Caterham Hayabusa before the Knox Mountain Hill Climb. Looks an amazing track with a 2.5 mile lap. :hurray:

That is a NEW track. Love the downhill "S's". How long is the straight?

Wldn't mind if they cut down some of the pines right on the track. The one rule of racing is-if it's there, a car will eventually hit it. A corollary is- a car at high speed can get into the most amazing places.

Hi Terry, maybe I'll see you there on Sunday. Got some new nto1 shoes I'm hopeing to try out. I've only driven at Oregon Raceway Park before and am still a tenative intermediate but enjoy track days immensely. I'm pretty sure they have the curbs in now. I only have an open trailer so I hope it doesn't rain, but weather looks to be clearing for the weekend.

Hi Mike

We are going to be there the weekend of the 28th. Curbs are now in; we are hoping it does rain as we want to do some testing with our wet setup.

The straight is just over 1/2 mile. The thing that you can't see from the video is the big elevation changes most of the way round the track not just the SSS.

Participated in a hpde event at the Ridge yesterday and had the best drive ever. The video doesn't do this track justice. It is a very flowing track and you are able to carry your speed early out of the corners, and those down hill s's, the drop is 70ft in a very short distance. I drove most of the day with the intermediate group, then the last session we were given the opportunity to drive with the upper two groups, what a blast to just see how fast some people really are in their GTR's, Ariel's, race prepped Vipers, I was doing a lot of point bys, but it was sure fun to follow and mostly stay with them in the twistys until the straits came up.

Terry you will enjoy.
