Klasik-69 Posted August 25, 2012 Share Posted August 25, 2012 Wow, I'm envious. Great choice, you are obviously a man of good taste. Personally, I don't see the big advantage of a sequential tranny. I find myself using mostly 3rd & 4th and that is as sequential as a sequential. On longer tracks, I'll use 5th sparingly. It is a very dark purple (deep amethyst) and a light gold (champagne), both from model year 2000 Chrysler. The purple is almost black until the sun hits it just right. The combination was chosen as a thank you to my wonderful wife. They are her favorite colors and, as it turns out, look really good on the Caterham. And you can check it out any time you are in the area. Should be ready by mid-September. Have you seen the new hardtop option? So far the only missing parts are the speedometer cable, windscreen supports, some trim pieces and many of the fasteners. I'm hoping the factory will FedEx these. lucky dawg Posted September 17, 2012 Author Share Posted September 17, 2012 (edited) The CSR is pretty much all done now except for the missing parts, including windscreen support plates and part of the dry sump system. Cosworth was great about sending the absent air filter housing by overnight express. Caterham, not so great. The parts may be on the way, or they may not, not really sure since I can't get that specific question answered. I'm hoping to have the car completed before the one year anniversary of ordering it, but even that minimal goal may not happen. Regardless, summer is just about over, so there won't be too many good days left that I can drive it. All that being said, I must add in, that even with some delay caused frustrations, in the end this will all be worth it.
