I hope this isn't duplicating another post. I thought others may enjoy this locost hillclimb video as much as I did. Apparently Miata powered & turbocharged.

I believe the driver is Heikki Rinta-Koski from the Atlanta area.

I like the "squeaky toy" comment in the background.

Yep, that is Heikki running that car. I run in TT SCCA events with him but in a different class. He is very very quick, and fearless. His car isn't the cleanest looking rig around but it may well be the fastest. Plumbing on his car looks like a Home Depot kit but he can run with anyone out there, including the formula cars.

He was with us at Ambush this year. Was on the track with him at AMP. He humbled a very competent instructor in a $225,000...500hp Porsche that was trying to keep up with him. Heikki is fast.

He ran a sub 1:30 lap time at Road Atlanta, beat out every formula car except one. As you can see on the hill climb video, the man is absolutely fearless...............or he has a death wish. I was going to run the tail of the dragon but backed out due to .............well.................fear. That's right, I've driven it several times and if you mess up, two things will happen; a) you will smash up your car into the mountain wall made of solid granite like material, or b) you will go flying over the cliff and continue until you hit a very hard rock, or a tree, or both. Shade and sunlight areas provide grip and slick back and forth. Heikki is very good at what he does so likely the element of danger is minimized by his skill level.
