sdaddy
Any suggestions for a Zetec 3 intake manifold that works with Jenvey throttle bodies and won't restrict flow into a ported (Massive) head? It doesn't look like the current manifold has enough "meat" for grinding to match the head. Jenvey says they don't sell a ported manifold. :bigear:
super7guy
Did you try Raceline UK?
sdaddy
Thanks. I'll contact them to see if their manifold might work with big ports.
danilo
There are arguements for having anti reversion steps in the intake tract.. as well as the exhaust. Perhaps you have inadvertently created something good?
Kitcat
Perhaps pay a visit to focusfanatics.com, a forum, as the name implies, for Ford Focuses. TONS of tuning info abt Zetecs (and Duratecs) there. And TurboTom hangs out there, aka:1turbofocus, and he is a font of real-world based knowledge abt Zetecs of every stripe. He mite have some helpful info. Edited December 17, 2012 by Kitcat
pi7ot
Mangoletsi sp? They make side draft manifolds for various engines, and have two lengths (DCOE apps) for the Zetec head. I bought one from Burtons in the UK several years ago. Has a lot of meat on it for porting/sculpting exercises . m

Klasik-69
You may want to check this link; http://www.borla.com/products/induction/ I have the original TWM throttle body injection that Jon @ CaterhamUSA put on the engine he built for the original owner and they appear pretty meatty. I think Borla bought them out after my unit was made, not sure, but it works pretty well for non-turbo apps. Running pump gas, I'm pulling a little over 180 HP at the rear wheels and the torque curve is relatively flat. However, the cost of changing the ITB's added to the cost of re-tuning on the dyno can be expensive. If you need specifics on the ITB, let me know. 1turbofocus
There are manifolds out there for ITB that can be ported large on the runners , dont worry about matching them to the massive head as the heads runner are to big and more for looks then actually making good power , way over priced and over rated , the Ford Racing head was much smaller opening / runners and made the same and sometimes better power Its ok to go small intake to large head , what you dont want to do is large intake to a small head this would create swirl , go with what you can find , open them the best you can and go for it http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-ZETEC-WEBER-DCOE-45-JENVEY-THROTTLE-BODIES-SHORT-INLET-MAN-/260894070325?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cbe7f9635#ht_828wt_779 They offer a 40mm and a 45mm Tom Edited December 22, 2012 by 1turbofocus
