race seat for a CSR

Looking for a good race seat for my CSR260. Thinking of a Tillett B6f. Any advice?

I always thought it was the B2 that was specified as standard for the CSR?

Have you sat in one of those with a helmet on? Because the standard fibreglass types, very similar to the Tilletts, minus the CF price, put your head at a bad angle. What about a bead seat made justa for you? That's what the single seater people do.

I have the CF Caterham seats (Tillett B2) and have no issues with the helmet and Simpson neck restraints. There is no room to spare and the Hans did hit the seats.

i have the B6's in my ultralite. tillett indicates that the headrest on these seats is moved back slightly to accommodate a helmet. they are also designed to be used with a hans device. i wear a helmet on the street as well as on the track and have no issues with a bad head angle. the momo seat that was in the car before, on the other hand, pushed my head so far forward that i could barely look up to drive...

Thanks for the info. My original tube steel seat frame fell apart…three broken welds at one time. The Tillett B2 looks good, but it’s a little pricey. Looks like the B6-FXL has about the same dimensions as the B2 and would give me a little more room in the seat. Any experience fitting the B6-FXL in a CSR260? Any advice on a quick USA supplier?

i got mine through chris smith, a lotus guy who imports them but doesn't keep any inventory, so i wouldn't call it "quick". he's a nice guy though. pm me if you'd like his contact info.

 

i have no experience with the csr260, but the B6 FXL is pretty wide. how much space do you have in the csr? i could fit one in the driver's side of my ultralite but there's no way it would fit in the passenger side.
