solder_guy
Those Bimmers are really wonderful cars. PERFECT, for towing a 7...... A coworker bought a BMW .. of which she was really proud. So after a year of enjoyment of her "ultimite driving machine" .. I asked her, "What do the intials BMW stand for?" She had no idea! So when I told her she thought it was a joke! So I did a google search to prove to her .. and her statement was, "I'm going to quiz my boyfriend about this." She had never heard of "Bimmers" either. A few days later, my 12 year old daughter and I passed a BMW and I asked her the same question. She came up with "British Motor Works." She is studying German in middle school. When I told her the correct answer .. her response was, "That is so cool!" Another friend (who is alot smarter) bought a used .. "pre-owned" BMW convertible .. Well one day I noticed that one of her taillights was out. She stated that the BMW dealer service center had fixed it previously .. so I offered to take a look. Well I was dismayed to see that there is only ONE wire going to each light bulb .. and the sockets are grounded to the taillight assembly by twisting the light sockets into place. How cheaply made! Well the grounding contacts were burned irrepairably .. and the heat had distorted the plastic .. so the WHOLE tail light assembly had to be replaced! It was still under used warrantee though. I don't think I really care about a BMW. Well maybe an old one .. Rob
