Lotus seven delta wing

I think the front engine design of the 7 defeats the theory behind the delta wing racer, but this is cool all the same. They took a ratty old seven and really turned it into a work of art.

 

Now, would a bike motor and a lightweight delta wing/locost kit be the ticket for a cool next project?

Yeah. The TopGear bit, making an old lotus into a modern delta wing, pretty nuts.

 

I've read just about all I can on the design, and really don't see the point for road racing. Maybe big ovals and 200mph.
