Off Road SHO Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I buggered up the wires very close to the sensor and need to find a replacement. The existing one is an NTK unit with OZA30-D3 stamped on the body. That number can't even be found by Google. Has anyone with the 2.0 Zetec replaced their O2 sensor yet and if so, which brand and model did you get. Thanks. Tom
Klasik-69 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 You're going to need to know if it's a wide band or narrow band sensor that is needed based on the type of ECU you have. If you have a standard Ford Zetec engine that is using the Ford ECU, then look up a Ford Focus 2000 model with the Zetec motor you have (DOHC, 2.0L ???) and see which O2 sensor they show. My Zetec uses a narrow band O2 sensor with an aftermarket ECU so what I have may have nothing to do with what you need, or anybody else for that matter.
Off Road SHO Posted February 7, 2014 Author Posted February 7, 2014 I supposedly have a standard Ford Focus engine with the four Weber UK throttle bodies running off of an Alpha P1043;E4 computer. It is a narrow band sensor I believe. I say that because even the NTK PDF doesn't have a listing for the OZA30-D3 sensor that was in my car. I left a message on Lance Stander's voice mail but haven't received a call back yet. I tried to get with him a couple of times at Barret Jackson, but both times he had a real customer in front of him and I didn't want to interrupt him for such a piddly question. Tom
coffee break Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 As I understand them, there are wide and narrow band sensors. In each category, are there differences between them? Or to ask it another way, what is the interchangeability?
Klasik-69 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I don't know. If anyone knows, it would be Tom "turbo1focus", the king of Focus cars & Zetec engines.
Off Road SHO Posted February 11, 2014 Author Posted February 11, 2014 Finally hot a hold of someone at NTK and sure enough, he has never seen that number before either. And yes, there are slight differences between different sensors in each type, at least according to him. I have an email into Webcon to see if they know what was spec'd out for their Alpha P1043 E4 systems. Tom
