Wipac 7" black bodied headlamps: what's missing?

I have a set of these lamps (http://www.wipac-aftermarket.com/acatalog/Classic_Headlamps.html) but I think I must be missing a part or at not understanding how they're supposed to go together. What normally retains the reflector/lens unit into the front ring? Does anyone have pictures of one of these taken apart?

The lens is probably held in with a spring clip that pushes between the inside of the ring and the flange on the lens. Something like in these photos of the lights I just removed from my Birkin:

Thanks. That looks like exactly what I'm missing. Any idea where I could get those? I can probably figure out an alternative, but it'd be nice to have the real thing. I've emailed wipac already; hopefully they can help me out.

I work in the automotive lighting industry and it seems that even though this is a common method of mounting there will be several variants of the spring. We have a lamp that uses the same system but with a different shape to the spring.

 

If you don't get anywhere with WIPAC or eBay I can have my office send you 8 of ours (assuming you are doing two lamps) to try out.
