Blindcars
I am looking for (2) two, QA1 82 series red anodized shock bodies if anyone has a set lying around. I would like them for the new car and I have two new ones and would like to have matching color ones all the way around. I can have them rebuilt so I am really only needing the housings to be in good shape. Brian was really big on them so hopefully there is a set out there from off an ultralight. gjd6640
You'll want to specify the stroke length that you're looking for. I think Ultralites typically use a 4" stroke but double-check that info with Loren before trusting it as I'm not 100% confident of the 4" number. IIRC mine used 82 series shocks with the 5" stroke when I got it and I had to replace them with the 4" model because the shock body was too long and severely limited suspension travel. joshesh
I have all 4 red qa1 shocks that I don't think I'll ever need again. Did u need fronts or rears? Pm me and I'll dig them out for u.
craig chima
I routinely rebuild and re-valve 82 series QA1 shocks (did a set yesterday, in fact) as they are used on many of my customers' various race cars. So if it turns out that someone ends up with a set that needs attention I'm happy to help. Cost is $60/shock plus parts.
