  1. Don't have fear, have fun! Miata motors are very reliable, and parts are easy and reasonably priced compared to many.
  2. Wow, beautiful car. It tugs at my check book but I should finish the Birkin I bought. GLWS.
  3. That is a good idea. Will do. I haven't had to source those before. I see a bunch at Summit Racing. Are there any that are particularly suited to a Birkin?
  4. I haven't changed the fuel. So, I haven't looked for pine cones yet. It was running fine when I got it. It did have a bunch of water around the spark plug holes. I think it was transported in an enclosed trailer, but left out in yard in the rain in Seattle for a few days.
  5. I picked up a Birkin a month or so ago and am taking the opportunity to do a bit of maintenance and refreshing. I put in a new timing belt, water pump, serp belt, and all new fluids. The interior was showing some wear, and other cosmetics to do. I think I have it as far apart as I need. Now, redoing and reassembly. I figure about another month or so...
  6. Here is a rotary powered seven in the Portland area. I can't see how Kurtis Kraft has anything to do with the car though. It looks kind of interesting although there are not many details. http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/cto/5526929228.html
  7. I think you are going to like Washington.
  8. That's a great shop! Congratulations.
  9. If you make a drive through the mountains, I have another Birkin in the Lake Chelan area. Good Luck With your Move!
  10. No dissent here. But, which one is heavier?
  11. Maybe the driver can select between the trumpets and the filtered air.
  12. I remember it just like it was stated in this thread:http://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=12664&start=15 The early 1.6 liter Pintos used a Kent Crossflow. I had one.
  13. I had a 1.6 liter Pinto. It was a 1972 I believe. Pushrod OHV and it was just like a Cortina. Most Pintos were the 2.0 liter. I think some later ones were 2.3 liter. Anyway, there were some 1.6 liter Pintos sold in the U.S.
