Really like the new look. I haven't been on in a while due to work and the fact that I bought an S2000 instead of a &. I still lust for one but I want to be able to enjoy it now. That and the price was beyond compare. Either way I'm still top down at 60mph!:7head:

How many different chassis styles are there? I keep hearing things like " Birkin, Rotus, etc" What is the average Chassis Dimensions? Solid rear axle or I.R.S.? I forgot the other questions for now but they'll rear their ugly head in this thread soon enough. I tried to search but no luck.

Thanks for the replies guys. A friend of mine talked me out of the idea of using what he referred to as "that heavy pig of an engine" in the build. So now I'm entertaining ideas of Mustang SVO , S2000 , And bike drivelines. What is involved in the bike drivlines? I've looked for pics of the setups but can't find anything. Are they using bike transmissions? how do you get power to the rear diff?

Ok so I've decide to jump in to the 7 lifestyle. I found a local fab shop that is going to build my frame for $1750 from the "book Chassis" drawings I found online. But instead of running a miata drivetrain I would like to go 5.0 ford. My question is this. Has anyone ever done this and do you think it will be too heavy?

I found their site from the links page but found no contact info anywhere on the page. I'm actually about 1.5 hours south from there.

Hello, my name is Jeff. I'm from southwest florida and have always lusted after the 7. I don't own one as of yet but hope to in the future. I'll probably be asking alot of questions about the best place to buy and who makes the most safe and reliable kit. My most recent vehicle which I just sold was a 2nd gen RX-7 with a fully bridgeported engine and custom direct fire ignition. I loved the car but the wife and neighbors complained about the noise.
