  1. I’ll check it out yes copart does charge a lot.
  2. Yes they wrote off the whole country. No no weed on my side just good old sweat and tears 👍🏻
  3. Here is something else the previous owner sent.
  4. If you guys google the vin you can see the build sheet on this particular car. With all options and cost. It was sold through Hillbank Motorsports it cost nearly 90k to build the car with no A/C.
  5. The 620R nose looks beautiful I had to go with that. The real main reason i chose this option was because the engine ran kinda hot in warm weather. I have driven the car with the nose cone and hood off with no heat issues in similar warm weather. So it’s an air flow issue. Soon we will find out if this nose with all these air vents will make a difference. Plus the car has A/C so there is a condenser in front of the radiator. I had to make new lower mounting points because this nose is 1.5 inches lower everything else is identical. Cool view of the oil tank
  6. Some body work was required on the rear section to make it look clean. Keep in mind the aluminum is very thin and flexible. Cam out vary nice👍🏻
  7. Some parts were definitely damaged as you can see. I can’t say the car was in good shape some work was required. Although there is still some front lower rail work required I will post some pictures of that to view later. Overall the car is not in a shape to be considered a salvage. The previous owner told me that the problem was acquiring parts plus it was COVID time. So there were problems overall plus it is an unusual car so they just wrote it off. The rear wheel angle was off and the weak link was that aluminum plate where the caliper and the hub mounts. I just redid the fenders using fiberglass where it was required. Came out clean and stronger.
  8. I will go to my post and ad some pictures there till then
  9. I ordered some parts from Caterham I including the nose cone. Interesting enough all the parts got here in Los Angeles in like 4 days. Yes this car came with an ac. I bought this car with a salvage title due to very minor damage I have documented all the repairs
  10. That’s a cool thread all the way through my car here.
  11. Cool
  12. Wow great thank you
  13. There is no catch after COVID nobody wants to work. Easier to ride it off. Rear front fenders need work. Little bit body work near trunk area. That’s about it. No flood damage. Car fired right up and drove straight no issues.
  14. Yes it is a spcn
  15. Let’s do it if all goes as planned with the registration you can count me in 😁
  16. Yes engine runs and the car drives very well. It is a beast. And I did not buy the car because I thought it was just cool. I have built a number of sevens in my lifetime. From v8s to larger chassis v12. This Caterham has the best configuration and it is a Caterham. All sevens are nice fun cars, rest of the cars seem a bit boring.
  17. I will post some pictures today it is raining hard here.
  18. Yes it does have really cold a/c
  19. I have not received the title yet but it should be a ca title not sure if it is salvage. Yes good idea I will post the vin later today.
  20. New to this forum but I think you guys would find this thread interesting. Just purchased this cool Caterham and what is interesting is that I bought the car from copart. Copart is an online salvage auction which mainly sells vehicles that were involved in issues that deemed them a total loss. I saw the car on their web site and followed for months until I guess they received the title and were able to auction the car on an assigned date. So I had to buy the car, they had presented 7 images no Keyes, salvage title and no visible damage. Now knowing copart I knew something had to be up. Maybe blown engine, flood damage, wiring problems anything could have been hidden. Long story short purchased the car from their antelope location that is near Sacramento. And brought it home.
