Hey John, check your engine crate dimensions; mine was ~35” cubed, and 330lbs…..just an engine! 😉 -

I also purchased (420R) from Rich; but we just showed up at his shop with a U-Haul truck, and he loaded. Assuming he's having the three crates shipped directly to you, since you're in Houston? If so, yes you'll need a forklift since it's a commercial truck (U-Haul: we just slid down the ramp into garage, but there was four of us). Local trucking/moving company should be able to handle. -
I've had excellent success with this: https://vpracingfuels.com/product/stay-frosty-racing-coolant/?c=361& No glycol, 100% water-based, non-toxic, biodegradable.

Looking for a spandex-type/stretch dustproof cover for a Caterham SV; S3 size will probably work (just stretched more). Any reasonably priced solutions out there? Function over form; doesn't need to have a logo, etc. Just trying to keep the dust and the neighborhood cat off the bonnet ! Thanks!

Very happy with this 2 pounder; only $145: https://www.batterystuff.com/batteries/scorpion-stinger-12v-lithium-lifepo4-quad-terminal-powersport-battery-sstx12q-fp.html Works great!

Very true. Considering that physics still apply, a PCV on a dry sump is relatively worthless from a emissions standpoint. Hence the proper action post-inspection is to restore to Caterham spec (manifold port capped!). In my case, ref glanced at PCV and 'ticked the box'.

This (MBZ PCV) is what I installed between intake manifold and catch can. Zero impacts to engine idle or anything else. Removed post ref appt, since it’s not really needed, let alone useful in our (dry sump) application.

From the time local DMV called Sacramento and were issued sequence #, it was approximately a month before I received cert in mail. Cert arrived on a Friday, and BAR ref set appt for following Tues (to my surprise!); hopefully you won’t have to wait very long either. The ONLY thing you need to satisfy BAR is inline PCV. I just (temporarily) inserted a cheap ($6) MBZ PCV, just below intake manifold.

You’re right behind me, Ralph!…I was assigned #86. Once I received Sequence cert, got ref appt for 4 days later. Ref printed/applied SB100 sticker, and handed me paperwork to save (he electronically transferred data to DMV). Visited DMV that afternoon and walked out w/plates 🎉. Ordered custom plates, but they’re backed up 6+ mo 🙄. BTW, love that blue!

It's probably @ralph. We picked up our kits at the same time.

Good show, Ralph! Glad to hear you solved the mystery. Seems we both suffered from factory assembly errors. On the upside, at least you’re super familiar with the wiring now. 😉

Hey Ralph, it's Brian; we picked up our Cats on the same day last Nov. I also had some 'teething' pain upon engine start a few months back. Engine did start sometimes, but ran super rough and no rev. Troubleshooting revealed not getting 5V at TPS, thus the ECU had no idea where throttle position was. Turned out to be an ECU connector assembly problem; not all sockets on multi-pin connector were locked into place. Definitely check connector and verify all socket barrels are locked into place properly, otherwise they will back out when connector is attached to ECU. Regarding battery being a problem, that's a red herring IMHO; especially if engine turns over without issue. I installed similar battery: Scorpion SSTX12Q-FP.....works great, plus it's only 2 lbs!
