It's a grass strip and not exactly level......

I've arranged for everyone a tour of the hangars at Van Sant airport. If you are an avaiation buff, bring your camera as you will be able to get up close to some of the aircraft kept there. A few nice Stearman biplanes, Cubs sailplanes, etc.
-
No, clutch disc broke.
-
Engine back in and freshly detailed so I'll make it! Looking forward to seeing everyone.

A gathering of Sevens and a good drive sounds great. I'd be happy to provide a Home Base for everyone to gather at. The usual William Thomas Roadsters coffee, snacks, etc. on me. Do we really have to wait until June? ;-)

I was told a long time ago by a very knowledgeable and accomplished collector that anything built in limited, serialized quantities which posess unique asthetic and/or mechanical qualities, will always be increasingly more coveted compared to their 'standard' contemporaries. The 40th is serialized and sports a dedicated paint scheme along with a few nice options. That's enough for me! Does one want the real thing or an immitation? Up to the individual. This one's a keeper so I honestly don't care too much about what it's worth. The best part is I know I won't likely pass myself on the road anytime soon. Come to think of it NONE of us will!!! I am completely enthused by these cars regardless of the finer details.

Well, consider what the 40th Anniversary Edition cost new. They are loaded up with options and are truly unique. Only 50 were produced worldwide according to Caterham UK. I'd say it's a sensible asking price. Keep in mind how rare Sevens are in the US in general. I know I wouldn't let mine go for any less!
-
Quite a turnout!! Nice to see 5 Sevens in one place. We couldn't have asked for better weather.
-
Congratulation Al! You'll have to bring your new toy by when you finally get it.
-
I hope to see many Sevens at this event!! It will be a great drive for sure!

Check your ignition wire resistence values (use a digital ohm meter), install a new set of plugs and have someone with the required skills set your carburetion and ignition timing. Additionally, with the symptom(s) exibiting themselves, observe coil firing via inductive pick-up timing light connected to the coil wire. Firing should be constant without any interruptions in pulse. Also, carburetor idle mixture as well as synchronization is crucial. Good luck. http://www.wtroadsters.com

Well, I have it registered and insured so it will be no problem puting miles on it. If it would only clear up!!

Thanks again to all. Not sure how many came in to the USA but they appear to be rare enough. Personally, I had never seen one before. This car is number 48 with full documentation and accessories. Fortunately, it's been taken care of by all previous owners and now needs attention to minor things. The most recent owner, who is a very nice guy, only put 500 miles on it. Overall a very good car. I'll bring her up a notch and enjoy it!!

Thanks. Been hovering around a couple years now looking for the right car. Found it! I intend to be more involved. http://www.wtroadsters.com

It was Lance's old car. In new owner's hands now!
