  1. Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it.
  2. I recently moved to the Greenville, SC area. I have a Brunton Super Stalker. I have a few mechanical issues and am looking for a good mechanic in the general area. Anyone within a couple of hours would be O.K. Possibly someone in the I85 corridor from Atlanta,GA to Charlottesville, NC would work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, in advance. Bill
  3. I am considering a move to South Carolina from Virginia. I have a Brunton Super Stalker titled in Virginia as a 1962 Brunton Roadster (Replica 1962). Any issues regarding SC titling and registration that I should be apprised of?
  4. I have had an eclectic variety of cars over the years. Some were just to get from point A to point B. Some were used to get from point A to point B fast and in style. Some horrible and some fantastic. Some I'm really glad I got rid of ande some I wish I had back. Here's the list, in chronological order: 1936 Chevrolet 1952 Chevrolet * 1953 Chevrolet * 1954 Chevrolet: *It took all three to have one running and driving car (This was Hight School years) 1960 Bugeye A-H Sprite: Great entre into sports cars 1957 Chevrolet 1969 MGB: My first new car 1962 Ford Econoline Panel Van: Fixed it up into a camper and saw 49 states plus Mexico and Canada in it 1968 Datsun pickup 1971 Toyota Corolla 1600 1966 Shelby GT350H; Formerly a race car that I put back on the street. A real beast. 1967 Ford Country Squire: Tow car for the Shelby 1976 Plymouth Volare Wagon: Bought new and had it for 9 months. Sold it and was happy to get rid of it. Probalbly the worst car I ever owned. My last new car. 1973 Buick LeSabre 1970 Pantera: Great cruiser 1963 Shelby Mk1 AC Cobra: Autocrossed in parking lots and on the track. Never beaten. Now up for auction at Mecum in a couple of weeks. I wish I had that one back. I could retire. 1972 Nova 1973 Maverick: A piece of junk 1968 Chevrolet C 10 pickup 1970 Mustang Mach 1: 351 Cleveland 1970 Mustang Boss 302: Great track car 1978 Pinto; Not that bad, despite all the jokes; great autocrosser 1976 Dodge Magnum: A gift; albiet a not very thoughtful one 1984 Plymouth Horizon 1986 Chevrolet Spectrum 1969 Ford F100 shortbed pickup: Still own 1984 Plymouth Laser 1993 RX7 Twin Turbo: Still own 1992 Chevrolet C4 Corvette: Still own Brunton Super Stalker: Still own 2008 Honda Ridgeline: Stll own. To tow the Stalker to the track Plus a couple of trailers ovder the years, but I guess they don't count. That's 31 and counting. I'm looking to maybe get rid of the Vette and get something else in the spring for a daily driver. I've learned something, good or bad with each car, both about the cars and myself. Have a Happy New Year!!
  5. Shelby was a man called it like he saw it, and got away with it. A unique American automotive icon. Ironiclly, I trade a 1971 Pantera for an early Cobra (CSX2032) back in 1977. I did a lot of track days and Autocrossing in the midwest (Blackhawk Farms, Road America, State Fair Park, MIS etc.). Not much could touch it back then. I've had a lot of fast cars since then. The only thing that comes close to that pure "kick in the pants" is my Super Stalker.
  6. Glad to hear that you're O.K. Metal can be replaced..not so much, flesh and bones. I've been around the track many times. In your post, when you said you hit the tire wall, I knew exactly where it was. Coming up the hill on the power every car gets light. Depending on where you are on the track, and how fast you're going, it moves the car slightly to the left. If your wheels are even slightly cocked...you know what happens. When your car is fixed, get right on tht horse again.
  7. 5 miles to work and between 15 minutes and an hour an a half...depending when I leave (Metro Washington D.C.). Bill
  8. Johan, I live in Manassas, VA and would be happy to share, if you think that would help. I'm pretty busy with work and all, but maybe we could coordinate our schedules. Bill *Super Stalker
  9. Interested in a trade? I have a very nice driver quality 1993 Mazda RX7 twin turbo. About 55K miles on the clock.
