  3. Mike, I have deciphered the number, but I didn't think off trying RMSC. I sent Ben a e-mail. I'm surprised CC UK couldn't tell me it's DOP and POE. Thanks ricko
  4. Caterham history. I have a 1992 Caterham and I am trying to trace its history. Have tried through CC UK, Rosey Moffat, only to get “Unfortunately the file on that car is empty” Are there any other avenues I can try? ricko

  8. If I were able to register a new caterham or birkin in NJ I may do that, but njdmv makes it so restrictive you wouldn't want the car after doing all the mods necessary to make it legal. Yes the s1 or s2 lhd that can be document are rare. The documentation is the reason they command a higher price. Fun plus investment value! I look at it as when I must sell it it's always better to have no stories. (when I find the correct car I will have it for a long time) So if anyone knows some one that has a s1 or s2 lhd that can be documented and want to pass it on to a old lotus guy please let them know I want to buy. Rick
  9. Nice car though not lhd. Car is on earth---- price is not Rick
  10. Looking for a lotus seven s2 lhd or seven S1 with a chassis tag and frame number that can be documented. Will pay top dollar. Rick in NJ

  14. Xflow, thanks for keeping me in mind. I'm still looking for that S1 or LHD S2. If the price for this RHD S2 was better it would be in my garage. Rick in NJ
  15. Still Looking. The couple of leads I got just didn't work out. Help! Rick
  16. I called, but at $44500 or $72k. It may be tooooooo much. Rick
  17. Thanks for the Link. RHD wont do, and even if it did a BDA is a S2 chassis???? I don't think that's a god idea, for me. Keep on searching. Rick

  19. Wanted to buy Lotus Seven. I have been looking for a Lotus Seven for the last eight months. It needs to be a series one or two. I have seen a few for sale but they just weren’t the ones for me. It’s hard to describe the one that will do it, but I will know it when I see it. The series two should be LHD. I prefer a car that has been correctly restored to original period condition, but a car in any condition will be considered. These are the place’s I have been looking. Auto Europe, Birkin USA, Bring A Trailer, Caterham USA, Garden State Sevens, Hemmings, James Whiting, Lee Chapman, LEO, Locust Enthusiasts Club, Mid Atlantic Caterham, Mike Brothewood, SASCO, Sevens and Elans, Simple Sevens, Tony Tompson, USA-7s, Wire Wheel, LOG29 and of course EBAY. Rick
