solder_guy
USA7s.com event at the Tail of the Dragon was a big success. Al and Mazda and others should be complemented on their efforts to pull off a professionally run event. Although I showed up a day late .. I could see that many friendships had been forged through the common experience of life with a LSIS. Everybody is enthusiastic about their cars! And that passion led to a thorough enjoyment experienced by all. Everyone was wowed by the group photo shots of 50 LSIS cars! Amazing to me were the two Lotus Sevens S1s in front. All the extra details were professional: Event Program, stickers, gifts, notebooks, pencils, even the database forms and feedback forms were top notch! And the raffle of the miniture Caterum model raised $835 for a local charity which is their local EMS. The event is summarized by all participants giving Al and the other organizers a standing ovation to express their appreciation after dinner Saturday night. Here Here! :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: I wish to thank Al, Mazda and others for a great experience of sharing the LSIS passion. Rob

WestTexasS2K
I talked to Kevin last night and he said he and Michelle really had a great time. He couldn't say enought about how nice everyone was. He said the quality of the cars was amazing. The blats were a blast except for the hail and thunderstorm. It appears Kevin gave a few crotch rockets a run for the money on the way to deals gap. They were riding a couple of Aprilla bikes they all pulled into deals gap and they jumped of there bikes and came to see what had been on there butts the last 9 miles. They were amazed that a car could hang with them. They said they were doing all they could to pull away and couldn't. Kevin said he had to hit the brakes hard in every corner to keep from running up on them. Hope everyone made it home safely and cant wait for the next event when ever it is. slngsht
Hey guys, we made it back home safely. I picked up a nail in my 5 day old minivan tire... oh well. Well, what can I say? Everything went pretty smoothly. I had such a great time meeting a ton of friendly people. As most of you know, I couldn't remeber alot of names, nor what day it was  I got to spend a fair amount of time with several of you, which I REALLY enjoyed. I wish I had more time to get to spend more time with everyone. My real regret is not being able to swap rides with folks. I had several offers to either drive or ride in other people's cars, including the westfield, and got so busy that I didn't get around to it. By the way, Kevin is an animal in that car. I loved watching him toss it around in the autox. He also gunned the SR27 on the way to the autox behind me. I didn't notice it at first, so I don't know if I was pulling away, or if he was reeling me in
WestTexasS2K
Yeah he can get a little crazy. He said he couldnt compete with the guys with slicks so he was going to just have a little fun. I am sure he stayed sideways most of the time. He said he drove the SR27 for a while and he really loved it. He said it was tight and no rattles or squeaks. Of course the old Ultralite use to be a little tighter but we have put about 12k pretty rough miles on her. Anyway he really liked its build quality. Mike Rohaley
X3 on the compliments to Al, Mazda and all the rest that made the weekend happen. We have been on many car based trips and for both Jen and I, this was THE most fun that we had. Now that I am back here at work I wish that I made some more runs up and down the Dragon, this will become an annual pigrimage for us I suppose. There was so much to do that we never got remotely close to bored, my biggest issue was forcing myself to call it a night and get some sleep to recharge my batteries for the next days activities. Everyone involved did such a great job that the only downside is that the next organizers have quite a job ahead of them if they plan to eclipse what was done here. Thanks again. P.S.: We love the JPE, a huge thanks goes out to Bill for doing a great job on the model. It will sit with pride in our living room for many years to come. PAULDEMAN
I want to thank everyone who was there at the 777 meet. It was a blast and I had a great time. I wanted to go for a few rides w/ other people but like Mazda I was taking others out for rides. I wanted to see how I compared to Mazda in the straight line but I never got a chance...maybe next time Mazda . Kevin's supercharged S2K was a blast to drive as well, once you hit vtec at 6k you better hold on tight. There were lots of nice cars at the event and it was a great time. I love how welcoming the whole 7 community was to everyone. Wonderful time and I can't wait till we have another big meet. Special thanks to Al, Mazda, and anyone else who was in charge of organizing the event and working their butts off. You guys did a wonderful job and you need to be acknowledged. I'd also like to say thank you to everyone for all the kind words about the SR27. I believe Kevin described our car as "French silk pie with a cayenne chaser" or something like that...he was really happy to have the opportunity to take it for a ride, as I was in his car Mojo. Thanks Kevin.
slngsht
Paul, I really wanted to trade rides as well. I think the difference is mine is fast and rough, and yours is fast and refined.
R1 Seven
Well...I gues that next time the event will need to be a week long... I guess a "ride swap" time could be scheduled in as well.
