Stalker (Storker) at Barber

Well, Mario has his Storker very well sorted. Turns out that at NJMP and COTA last year, he was running with a fairly dead cylinder (broken piston ring land) in addition to clutch and tranny issues. With those items addressed, and a new set of matching sneakers, #142 was running strong at Barber. Here are a couple of clips of the March 28, 29 weekend with Rezoom:

If any of you other 7 drivers are shooting driving videos, please post. In between exchanging playful jabs with Croc and a handful of others here, I'm living vicariously through your experiences until my back and my car issues are sorted out.

Thanks for posting the Barber You Tubes and thanks for your kind words

Here's more info for those who want to know more about Barber or stalker #142 Since NJMP last year:

ALL

Here are two short videos from my weekend at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham Alabama Mar 28/29

The track is very challenging, very technical, and super well cared for. The grounds are a park-like setting with beautiful landscaping, sculptures and the home of Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum. The Museum houses 750 motorcycles and many Lotus and other race cars (including Dickie Smothers' 1970 Lotus Type 70 F 5000).

The car ran VERY well. For the first time in three years and 10 track outings there were zero problems requiring repair attention. Hats off to my new crew chief and tuner Mark Tucker. The new Mantec 9000+ clutch has solved all high speed shifting issues.

One video is 5 minutes, the other is 3 minutes. You get some sense of speed when the S7 is passing other cars. If you have a large enough screen you can see the speedo in the center of the dash. The red tape just left of top center is 125 MPH. Center vertical on the speedo is 110 MPH

FIVE MINUTES.

THREE MINUTES

Enjoy

Mario

If you have not already seen it.

Speedo straight up is 80 and tops out at 160.

How come I have never seen other videos of cars hitting high speed?

That was a roll pin loosening up. I like a solid shifter so I reamed it out and installed a shoulder bolt. Its better but something is loosening again. I believe it has to do with face plating the transmission, and the type of gear shift extension Im using, as it moved the stick back 8 inches.
