I bought a complete kit (heating elements, wiring, switches) to add heating to the seats in my Caterham but haven't done the installation yet.

 

My Boxster S has heated seats and there have been many cool days and cold nights that we have enjoyed driving with the top down while the heater, and seat heaters, chase the cold away.
