iqwestroark Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 We have created an improved rear suspension upright for the Birkin S3. One of my friends looked to our company to create a replacement for this damaged part in his Birkin. After reviewing the damage to the original cast aluminum material we decided to create a 3D solid model of the part removing draft angles and improving the structural design as well implement a drastic improvement in material properties in the process. We then programmed and CNC machined a new upright from aircraft grade aluminum bar material. This part incorporates the steel doubler/strap that has been retrofitted to the bottom of many of these uprights and the assembly includes all the steel tapered bushings for the tie rod ends. We have invested a large amount of time in the engineering and programming of this upright. Because we have already designed and programmed this, we can sell you a better replacement assembly for less money than you would pay for an original cast aluminum assembly. If you are looking to upgrade your existing suspension or have damaged one of these uprights, please send me a message or reach us through our website at http://www.iqwesteng.com. We can discuss what we can do to help you. Thanks!
powderbrake Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Interesting first thread, a sales pitch, but for a part for a Seven. OK, but we cannot view the part, nor can I find it on your website. I am sure there are interested parties , so please convert the attachments to pictures, or do whatever you have to do to make them visible to us.
xcarguy Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Ditto, Jerry. I didn't see on the website either.
kwiksteve Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 My uprights are due to arrive next week and for one I would love to see any improvements.
