If you look at the roll axis of the S2K it obviously starts higher in the rear and ends lower in the front (proven by this photo). It may be a (distant) Lotus derivative, but it's no Cortina.

Can't that be fixed via spring rate adjustment? I'm asking to learn from the guys who have "been there, done that".
powderbrake Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Loren/Kevin: Sorry to see the kink in the rear end, but I am sure you can straighten it or replace a section. I was thinking about all the work you put into installing the cool looking brake lights flush with the painted surface. maybe you can install some other kind, and save some work. Jerry

I am putting my money on...the car just hopped that curbing a little bit and the rear has not come all the way back down on the ground yet. That picture just "captured a moment". If a RWD car is picking up the inside rear mid-croner...there are serious issues to work out...

Hmmm Don't know what you are trying to say Seth. Having been there and done that (with the parts on the shelf to show for it) I recognize the lightened rear inside wheel on Mojo as a result of a too high rebound rate on the rear shock(s) and no anti-sway bar in the front. Independent suspensions are a bit more to tune than live axles but oh so rewarding once it's done! BTW, there sure is a LOT of expensive machinery BEHIND the S2K!
WestTexasS2K Posted July 18, 2007 Author Posted July 18, 2007 RDROCKET I think I would have to agree that the rebound needs to be adjusted a bit to keep that wheel down. He could have hit the curb we will have to see if we have some other pics to veryify if that is the problem or not. Since my shocks are not adustable do you have any advice on how much it should be softened.

They have a "how to" section telling about the procedure for changing rates. They also sell a kit to do so. I have the kit. Once you have determined the settings that are presently in the shock, let me know and I can get you the correct part to change the rate. Looking at the pics again I am impressed that Kevin managed to save most of the decals. The rear is the easiest to find replacements! Maybe some heat will allow you to work out the wrinkles in the skin.....
