papak
What is the lowest profile scissor jack? I'd like to pick up a used one for longer trips.
Nick OTeen
Check out this one from California Car Cover. It's one inch high when retracted and slightly longer than one foot: https://www.calcarcover.com/product/low-profile-billet-aluminum-jack/705 http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=13410&stc=1 Another (lower cost) option would be to do a search on motorcycle scissor jacks on eBay. Most are not as compact as the above but there are some candidates to be considered. Edited October 25, 2017 by Nick O'Teen
m wirth
Hi, I use a scissor jack from a 944 Porsche, very light weight and more than adequate to lift a 7. I modified the original locating node by removing it and replacing with a flat chunk of rubber. This pic is an original jack without the modification. papak
Great idea regarding the 944. I used to race one and probably threw mine away once I converted it to a track car. I would imagine that the jack from a Miata would be small as well.
