Blount County Rescue Squad, Tennessee

Recommended Posts

Dear Members

My names Lt Rob Moles, I am one of the officers for the Blount County Rescue Squad here in East Tennessee.

I wanted to send a very sincere "Thank You" to all of the members of the group for the Photo and donation you collected from your ride to the "DRAGON" on July 6 - 8th 2007

Being an all volunteer Rescue agency here in Blount County, the members of the Rescue Squad do what we do, because we care about people.

The "Dragon" is a beautiful road to drive and there are many wonderful people who ride there, Unfortunatly we usually only get to meet and talk to many of them when its under bad circumstances.

When a group such as yours takes the time to think of us and what we do, That is the biggest reward we could get.

On September 15th 2007 we will be celebrating our 50th year serving the people of Blount County. We will be having a large "Open House" celebration at our Squad's Main Station as well as the ajacent park next to the squad.

We would like to extend an Invitation to anyone from your group that may be in Tennessee on that day to come by and introduce yourself so we can meet you.

The day will run from 10 - 5 on Saturday September 15th 2007. We will start with an opening cermony with the presentation and raising of the flags.

Senator Finney will be present the squad with a senate resolution proclaming the 50th anniversary.

There will be free food and demonstrations of Vehicle Extracations , as well as Technical Rope Rescue Demo's as well as fun things for the kids to do.

The Donation we recieved from you will be used to help put this event on. Its groups like yours that are making this day possible.

we Hope to see you if your in town that day

Again i wantto thank you for the donation

Thanks for writing back

Sept. 15th is actually VERY close to the official 50th birthday of the Lotus 7 as well.

I hope a few of our local members can make it there.

Thanks again for all your work in saving lives.

Lt. Moles-

Having seen first hand that weekend 2 riders down, and then reading about the fatalities the following week, I truly appreciate how dangerous the Dragon can be, and what a tough job your group has day in and day out.

The others know I am one for trying marathon drives (though not in the Seven!)...so perhaps I will try and make it down to your open house in Sept.

Best,

Just a quick update .... I wanted to thank Al for getting me the logo so quickly. I was able to get it to the printer in time and it will now be forever on the back of our 50th anniversary T-Shirt as a proud sponser... plus hopefully it will generate some hits on this website .... The logo that is going on it is the
