slngsht
I'm going to put a page together for links to other seven related sites. If you have a page of your own, know of other websites, or better yet, links pages, post 'em up here, and I'll compile the list. I will try to categorize them as technical, vendor, personal, etc... Thanks.

slngsht
part of xflow's post moved over from the other thread: Slngsht, I think your concept for the links page sounds very good. The bane of all-encompassing links pages can be that the volume can grow to the point that it becomes unmanageable. Categorizing them in an easily manipulatable (is that a word?) tree structure is a very good idea to keep them more manageable. Just to throw the idea out there, once established I could perhaps envision a further enhancement in which a keyword database or such is kept so that the links could be filtered according to various criteria. For example, enthusiast sites could be narrowed to sites with build diaries, sites with Zetec information, sites with racing info, sites based in Iowa, etc. Maybe that requires more administration than it is worth, but it sure would be slick. Anyhow, a big links page like that is exactly the kind of thing that would make sense to have on a centralized "official" club homepage, so I'm glad that you're making a start on it. xflow, Thanks for the input. As I'm building the links page, I'm also building an admin page for it, where we can all put links in. I will police it to make sure nothing inappropriate goes in, spelling stuff is corrected, etc... There are multiple categories to pick from, so a particular site can go under Parts, and Service, etc...
slngsht
All, the first version of the links page is up. It is the first entry in the announcements section on the >home page for now. I put a few links in there. There is a link at the bottom of the link page for you to forward new links to me. Please use it and help build this library. For now, I'm keeping the admin page off. I put a few links in there - if your site (or some manufacturer site) is left off - it is totally unintentional. It's 1 AM now The home page will eventually get redesigned, and things like the link page will get a permanent place in a nav bar (top or left). slngsht
With the new banner, the links page is now available from any page via the top nav. Several members have sent in links, and I have categorized and posted them on the links page. Thanks.
