Alternator steel heat shield

The alternator thread got me thinking......

Did all of the Caterham cars with alternators have a metal heat shield over the top of them?  I have seen photos of those in place.  Mine is missing if anyone has one for sale in the USA.

Based on what I've seen, Cat doesn't add a heat shield. Some alternators come with them and some aftermarket suppliers offer them separately depending on the model of alternator.

I don't want to be the guy who says, look what I have, and is no help at all.

But for educational purposes, I happen to have this shield that came with the car.

Mine is what appears to be made of a fiberous material, like asbestos. Or something known to the state of California to cause cancer.

I think my gas station hot dog had a label that said California cancer ingredients.

Sorry, I don't know where it came from or where to get one now.
