Very light battery

Just FYI -

We know this battery is small, and isn't suited to every application. I run a PC680 in two of my own cars and I'm very happy with it. But if you're counting every last ounce, it's a good way to lose 6-15 lbs of weight. I think a Se7en would be a good application for it, while a daily driven car would not.

I do appreciate the feedback from people's experience with the battery. If you buy one through Flyin' Miata, then Flyin' Miata will be the one taking care of you and we'll deal with the supplier in the case of any problems.

I have the Braille and havent had that good of luck with it. I got a size bigger than what they were recommending and It has barely cranked the car from the very start and if you leave the fan running for more than 2 min you are not likely to get it started. I emailed them multiple times about the problem but they have made no effort to fix the problem. I will take the 6lb penalty for the PC680 and have some reserve power.

The Voltphreaks VPHR07 battery will work fine, probably better than the PC680 even. It's about 3 pounds, and very small, you can mount it in all sorts of places too to save wiring weight (some cars with trunk mounted batteries have 20 pounds of wires and associated equipment that can be saved by mounting the battery in the trunk, like the BMW M5, though it's placed in the trunk to balance the weight!). It's costly at over $300, though.
