How many different chassis styles are there? I keep hearing things like " Birkin, Rotus, etc"

 

What is the average Chassis Dimensions?

 

Solid rear axle or I.R.S.?

Rotus company no longer exists. There's probably 100 different manufacturers worldwide.

Uhhh, Birkin is indeed a modern maunufacturer but located in South Africa. Brunton Stalker V6 is "built" in Braedenton, FL. World Class Motorsports sells the Ultralite built in Lancaster, TX. Caterham is built in England as are maaaannny others.

Suggested reading is "Lotus Seven & The Independents" by Dennis Ortenburger, published by Coterie Press LTD. A definite source for a complilation of builders past and present; a bargain for those interested @ USA$59.95.

Tons of manufacturers... Caterham, Stalkers, WCM, Birkin, Westfield... those seem to be at the top of the list in terms of popularity, and of course the Locost.

I’m bored tonight (wife is working late) so I put together a list of se7ens that are available in the US today either new or used. I’m sure I am missing several manufacturers, so perhaps others can add on? BTW my criteria is that the cars are either available in the US new via a distributor/dealer, or I have heard of at least one such model in the US. Okay, not very scientific, but it is a start...
