Thanks Al, that’s good to hear. Logically I know that the seat should be more than strong enough to withstand that type of abuse, but the illogical side of me keeps thinking “replacement seats cost HOW MUCH??” I remember when the Pound was less than a $1.60

I am a Westfield dealer in Raleigh NC. If you would like to come by and check our demonstrator for size , let me know. We currently have a Westfield Mazda Sport although be quick if you want to see it as it is for sale. I am 6ft 6ins tall , weigh 215lbs (this may change after thanksgiving !!) and have size 14 feet. I drive the car regularly on long journeys without a problem find it comfortable wearing driving shoes.

 

This car is the wide body and has the lowered floor. It is the orange car on our website.

since moncoque seats were getting discussion here, i found this vendor on ebay today. these seeme right for Al.

You likely can buy basically the same seat (in fibre glass) from Deman Motorsports. Might be cheaper then getting it in from the UK.

6'2" 220# 11-1/2 shoe

 

Drove a Cat SV at Brit Auto - DFW last year. No problems at all. Italian dress shoes - tight fitting shoes, no sole "overhang" - was fine.

 

2 weeks ago, I sat in a Cat 7 (bench seat) and a Cat Superlight (alum racing seat) at Gran Prix Imports south of Portland, OR.

No shoes (trying to simulate driving shoes) no real problem. Expect the pedal box would be fine with driving shoes.

6'2" didn't seem to be an issue either.

However, the combination of my thin wallet and my wide a** made both seats a little uncomfortable - especially the Superlight.

 

Which means - of the Cats, the SV would likely be the one for me. Of course, the wallet would be much thinner then.
