slngsht Posted October 29, 2005 Author Posted October 29, 2005 Do you have more info on that car? I wonder if that's Joe's car - earlier in its life?
Old Yellow Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 The yellow one is mine before I started autocrossing it. It looks a little worse for wear now. The right rear fender was crushed in but repaired close to new but not painted. Autocrossing is hard on car bodies and paint. the paint on tne fenders has been sandblasted and there are several dings where rocks wer slung up under the fenders. Joe

Roy Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 This car was built by my father and I when I was in high school. I was sad when he sold it, but understood as his childhood 1951 Chev Bel Air came back to him. Now, I am searching for this weapon again as dad has had a terrible stroke and can't drive his toys anymore. I want to take him out in The little beast if I could. I would possibly even purchase it from the current owner as it holds many memories for me. these pics went with an ad from the third owner that was quite incorrect. The seller back then stated it had a solid cam, when it just had noisy tappets. Also, the ad said "never raced or abused". Huge LOL as the original centre caps had melted off at Shannonville Motorsport Park; at about the same time we melted the diff on long sweeping corners. The brake fluid boiled after only two laps, so we flushed it for dot5 fluid; then boiled the purple dye right out! Silly non vented rotors... Anyway, I want this car back home. I have almost convinced my wife for another toy, but may need to sell one to make room for this. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm not sure how much time dad has left. Feel free to ask any q's about the car. FYI: it is a Buick 215 bored out for chev 305 pistons. Cooling has always been an issue, just look at the extra fans and relays.
