slomove Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Well, here a tiny snippet of the video I took last weekend. This road has, ahem, little margin for error. It is really a shame...there is probably some 30 minutes of awesome roads and scenery that I had to skip for space reasons. Oh well, I have seen it Gert For the educational benefit of others I even rejected the bribe of the individual who got caught in the sand trap to not post the video
slngsht Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 heh, hopefully there was no damage to his car.
southwind25 Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 nice road,,,OPPS... sand a bit slippery..about as bad as oil! just so the cars ok,
Al N. Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Man, driving point on our various meetings/drives is tough! The only upside is that you can control the pace. I trust everything was fine with the driver and his car who had the off...I was very worried about having a similar incident on one of our early AM drives at the Dragon. It was damp and foggy, and I was constantly thinking (while chauffeuring a journalist) that I hope I don't crash on this first drive of the weekend!
slomove Posted November 28, 2007 Author Posted November 28, 2007 heh, hopefully there was no damage to his car. No, he stopped well before he hit the rocks.
squarefour Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I'll go ahead and admit here that I was actually driving point a little bit ahead of John, and I did exactly the same thing in exactly the same spot. I, however, was able to restart, back up and clear out of there before the paparazzi arrived...
