yellowss7 Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 So explain to me again how you have a rear weight bias??? I think my original weight guess is looking good. Tom
slngsht Posted July 20, 2008 Author Posted July 20, 2008 Yeah, I'm working up to your weight guess, but I'm pretty sure I will still have a rear weight bias. I'm thinking of going with a lighter battery, but leaving it up front - mostly because I'm lazy.
slngsht Posted August 7, 2008 Author Posted August 7, 2008 man, all I have left is brake and clutch lines to drive her around the block, but I've wasted 2 days around the local parts stores looking for feaking fittings. :banghead:
solder_guy Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 ... but I've wasted 2 days around the local parts stores looking for feaking fittings. :banghead: Yeah .. I've been through the fittings section of my hardware store several times! :banghead: Rob
slngsht Posted August 10, 2008 Author Posted August 10, 2008 Well, finally got out of analysis paralysis on the fittings. I'm waiting for 2 more fittings to finish up the front. All the lines are run, and clutch and rear brakes are already functional. Should get the fittings in on Tuesday for the fronts. I will be hooking up the throttle over the next couple of days, and have to go hunt down some bolts for the front suspension. I think by Thursday, I should be able to drive it around the block - without fully functioning wiring.
slngsht Posted August 14, 2008 Author Posted August 14, 2008 i've started getting the wiring working again. last night got the back of the car working - tail lights, fuel pump, fuel gauge. tonight i'll wire up the fan and horn, put the rest of the dash switches in place. hydraulics are all bled and tested. Tomorrow will have to assemble front suspension and put steering back in before going for a spin around the block. Still need to do alot of sheet metal work. mufflers are on order. They'll be here Friday. I actually drove the car from the driveway into the garage under its own power a couple of days ago - the first time since last November.
slngsht Posted August 16, 2008 Author Posted August 16, 2008 Exhaust is clamped together. Still need to fab something up for a hanger / support. I ended up going with Moroso "Engineered Spiral Flow" mufflers. at 4 lbs a piece, they're pretty light. I haven't driven the car with them yet, but at startup, idle, and bumping the throttle, they sound promising.
