Somehow I don't think you will be posting pics of our car in your site of Canadian Owners because ... you see ... um ... well ... it's just that ... er ... well ... (gulp) ... our car isn't really a Caterham. ... I'm really sorry! Honest, I really did want to buy a Caterham (Super7Cars.com) car. I wanted to buy the car as a kit because my 2 sons had plans to become mechanics (one an aircraft structures mechanic and the other as an auto mechanic) and I thought this would be a great way for them to cut their teeth (as it were). Unfortunately the Pecks would not offer their car to me as a kit. It seemed a bit odd to me at the time considering that Caterham's business model is based on kit cars but what can you do? Well, we found a Canadian Sevenesque manufacturer (Deman Motorsports) who offered the Busa Se7en as a kit (the Deman Motorsports SR7). Yes we did install the Busa motor and it is a stock motor. Here are some pics that were taken at his year's ABFM in Vancouver. Here are some of the car's specs: The Fabulous Busa engine (from a smashed bike) ceramic coated header, exhaust and muffler ... yes it's loud! Fully powder coated space frame wish bones, etc. Fully Independent front suspension Fully Independent rear suspension Aluminum Housed Limited slip differential Wilwood Forged Billet Dynalite Calipers/Disk Brakes(front) Ford Thunderbird Calipers/Disk Brakes (rear) 4 x "Fast" Aluminum Rims 4 x Falken 215 x 40 ZR17 rubber Digidash II datalogger Tilton Brake master cylinders with balance bar Momo 9 inch steering wheel 4 x Avo damper adjustable shock absorbers 4 x Springs for Avo shock absorbers 4 point safety harness Jaz fuel cell Weight: 1,012 lbs 0-60 ... 3.48 secs. In the end my kids and I had a great time building this car. As you will soon find out with your car, it's an absolute rocket! Welcome to the Busa club my friend! Cheers and Festive Felicitations! ayseven Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 Well, Jim, since you asked: The build is progressing along. I now have a Nissan engine instead of Toyota. The story is too long to go into here, but I'll fill you in another time! As far as more Canadians goes; we've been entertaining Americans for as long as there's been TV and Radio. Except for Jim Carey. He's an idiot.
BusaLoco Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 Hey! My Wife's an American and she spends most of her time entertaining a very dumb ass Canadian ... http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/458302943_cndn flag.jpg ... me! :flag:

sharp21 Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Evotell, i had to register just to say hi! I was out riding my bike up by the Southpoint Common, maybe 3 months ago, when out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of a 7. Barely had time to give a big thumbs up before it was gone... Looked nice from what I saw. Im hoping to start mine next winter when I get a place with a garage S.
