p71sohc
I would love to build from a Deman kit using my 90 Miata as a donor. Ive always wanted to build a somewhat modern looking 7. so I have been working on this rendering for a few days and I was just curious what people think? My idea is to use enkei RPF1 wheels 16" painted gloss black http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g210/p71sohc/enkeirpf1.jpg and also paint the fenders black. Then I want to paint the body the same color as this superlagera http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g210/p71sohc/lambo.jpgand use 2 sets of H.I.D. lights, two high and two low like these. http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g210/p71sohc/Xenon-8.jpg this is the drawing. one is with the weather top and sides. I didnt draw the wheels, mirrors, turn signals, or most of the suspension yet but most should get the idea. Oh, I never introduced myself either. My name is Joe and I live in Salem, MA. I look forward to being a future Deman kit owner. http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g210/p71sohc/locost-color.jpg
Birkin42
I'm using RPF1's on my Birkin, though it is not together yet. Crazy light wheels (9.5 lbs) at a pretty decent price for the 15's. The 16's are a bit heavier. Personally I prefer round to retangular lights, but that's totally a personal thing. The one thing I love about 7 type cars is that by nature they allow each person to customize it to make it their own.
powderbrake
p71sohc: Welcome to the uSA7s. I like your ideas for the Deman. Half the fun of a kit is the scouting and planning. With that color scheme, it would be a "stealth" seven. I also like the low headlights. The headlights sticking way up above the hood is the least attractive feature of a seven. The lowest set of headlights may not last too long, watch out for those parking lot wheel stops, thsy are nosecone stops for a seven.

In all seriousness, building from a kit is a blast, and building our Deman has been a mind expanding experience! Cheers! http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/158080445_Not Us Small Web view.jpg

powderbrake
The first half is scouting and planning, the second half is ordering, the third half is building, and the fourth half is driving. Thus proving se7ens are twice the fun

p71sohc
I think for the lower lights I'll use yellow rectangle fogs because they will be good to test. There cheap (cheaper then HID's) and if its foggy out then theres a plus. Because ultimately hitting something w/ fogs while parking would be better on my wallet then w/ HID's. bball7754
Not my cup of tea (I'm still in the '60s with my Crossflow and clamshell wings), but this is a Caterham with a supercharged RSTV8 currently on display at the Autosport exhibition in the UK. http://www.silesia-grills.co.uk/images/as1.jpg http://www.silesia-grills.co.uk/images/as2.jpg http://www.silesia-grills.co.uk/images/as3.jpg http://www.silesia-grills.co.uk/images/as4.jpg http://www.silesia-grills.co.uk/images/as5.jpg Thread from Blatchat is here: http://www.blatchat.com/t.asp?Id=144571 Steve
