Zetec thermostat housing

Breezy-

I don't know of one, but several of us use the Raceline water rail which is a cast piece. It also allows you to put the thermostat sensor in any of a number of places along the rail, including right near the radiator valve.

Do a search of the site and you should find something. I switched over to the Water Rail after a few slipped hoses and have no complaints.

Al: Where is the belt tensioner on your engine? I have a SVT and the mount that hold the tensioner in place is located on the left side of the engine and looks like it would interfer with the Raceline water rail. The mount is a good sized casting and comes back halfway between the #1 & # 2 cylinders. I looked at the picture from the above thread and I don't see the tensioner on your car. Guess I could get the kit that is being sold to relocate the tensioner. Thanks for the info. Mike

Mike...I'll look the next time I'm out with the car (it's in hibernation here in NJ)...I do have the non-SVT engine, and also the "Birkinsport" Alternator, which I think reroutes the belt anyhoo....

Anyone using the water rail with a SVT and this tensioner ?http://usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1253700970_IMG_2261.jpghttp://usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/725629056_IMG_2262.jpghttp://usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/178152974_IMG_2263.jpg
