This is a great event and show. http://www.pittsburghvintagegrandprix.com/pvgp/site/default.asp It is on a golf course down town. http://www.pittsburghvintagegrandprix.com/pvgp/site/default.asp The course is on the street around the course. A great family event. The car show is at least 20 acres and is quite relaxed.

I have went the last 2 years, it is where a person with a Caterham got my interest wet again. He should be there with his new 260 CSR. Saturday & Sunday I think is the best. I have not done anyother days though.

I thought you guys might be interested in this. I'll be at BeaverRun raceway this Saturday with my 7 (spectator only) as long as its not raining. This is the test-n-tune and pre-race event before the Vintage GP in Pittsburgh the following weekend. It's a great event and full access to everybody. My first Sevens seen racing were here and got to talk with their owners.

BeaveRun is Bart Lami's home track and I would advise reaching out to him via USA@se7ens.net to see if he'll be there and/or the vintage itself.

Andrew7, nice to meet up w/you & your dad and see your amazing Lowcost BEC. The vintage races were amazing as were all the old, and sometimes oddball, cars. Great to meet Bart Lami too. What a resource for info on Caterhams he is.

The 300 mile trip back to Cincy was uneventful, except for the 1 hour monsoon (I pulled over) and the 3 cloudbursts, which I motored thru.

I loved the BeaveRun race track and my new goal in life is to do a track day there someday. Maybe even with Bart as instructor?

I had a great time too, Mike. I was surprised we had the only Sevens at the event and in spectator parking no less. The Vintage event seem smaller to me than before, a couple years ago there were at least 3 original Sevens racing. They were also running a SOLO event on the other track. I was glad to meet Bart and check out his Caymen but forgot to ask why he didn't drag his up and run it around. Mid-Atlantic Caterham ran a Fury(I think) and they paid for it by needing a wrecker. BeaverRun is becoming a better facility each year, I've sat up on the hill and watch three different races at the same time. I've included a couple pictures of the tracks and various cars running. Please don't get to picky, its a point and shoot. I hope you enjoy them.

I'm glad that Mike and Andrew7 enjoyed their outing at BeaveRun and the vintage races.

Guys, I enjoyed meeting both of you even though each of your Sevens attracted crowds while my new Cayman was ignored. I'll get over it.

To answer the question "why was my Seven at home"---my trailer needed to be inspected and required some minor repairs. It's at the dealer today and my Caterham is in my garage. I'm preping it for a lapping day at BeaveRun this Friday--finally some tracktime.

Mike/Andrew7, I would be happy to ride and instruct with you at BeaveRun, Mid-Ohio, or any of the other tracks that I get to.

Regards,

Bart
