slngsht
As most of us are in to motorsports at some level and this of course is not "news" to those that be. But Phil Hill left us today, having met the man a few times.... http://www.latimes.com/la-me-hill29-2008aug29,0,2922168.story
slngsht
I came here to post about same. A very sad day for the motorsports world losing an icon. Never met him, but heard/read various interviews over the years and was always impressed.
JohnCh
I had the pleasure of briefly meeting him at the local vintage races a few years ago. I’m not one for autographs, but couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have our picture taken with him. Very, very nice guy. Saw him walking around the paddock later that day, and was struck by the fact he never stopped smiling, and was happy to have a word with anyone who approached to say hello. A class act, and a great driver. -John
