solder_guy
Does your car have welting between the fenders and the body? Is it really necessary?? I'm debating whether to buy and install welting cord. Original welting is dryrotted .. and Rotus assembly lists it as part of the install process. yellowss7
Caterhams use a black plastic welting that you can buy by the foot. However, when I switch to my Autox rear wings, I don't bother to put it on because if I rip the wing off, I usually lose the welting. Tom
MHKflyer52
Hi Rob, I have welting on the rear fenders on my car now. The first time I mounted the fenders I did not use it and I found that the fenders made a lot of chattering against the aluminum skin and that I was always having to tighten the bolts that hold them on to the body. I used the fender welting that you can get at any good auto parts store and jut cut it to length for the fenders and punched my own holes in it for the attachmentpoints. Hope this helps.
