solder_guy
Having a newly painted Seven .. Does anyone have a trim suggestion to avoid scratching the edge which I climb over when getting settled in my seat? Is there an edge trim that anyone uses to protect the edge of doorless entry? Hank
Rob, Carbon Fiber sill protectors can be found here: http://www.carbonmods.co.uk/Departments/Kit-Car.aspx I wish I could buy half of that website for my Westfield. I'm ordering the dash, sill protectors, and rear fender protectors. Hank
DeanG
Clear plastic tape, formerly known as helicopter tape. It even came standard on my 2000 Ford ranger. It still looks good on a truck that doesn't get much cosmetic care.
breezy7
Do a search for "3m Paint Shield". It is a clear plastic type material used for protecting paint. There are kits made for certain cars models but the stuff is usually available in bulk rolls as well. I would think the national parts chains would have something or try a local body supply shop. rotus8guy
Rob, if you look at that picture of my car that you posted, right above the number 78 you can kinda make out the sill protector. They're made of really thin fiberglass, covered in vinyl to match the upholstery, and/or dash. They run from the scuttle back and up the front quarter round of the rear bodywork. I would think Dennis would still be able to make these up John
Alaskossie
I have a pair of stock Caterham S3 polished stainless steel sill protectors (unused) for sale. I'll sell them for 2/3 of what they list for in the Caterham on-line catalog, whatever that price is, plus postage.
