slngsht Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 A while back, I put on a thread for everyone to guess the weight of my car. I believe the contest was for 1 lap in an autox for the person who has the closest guess on weight, and one that has the closest guess on weight distibution. Some people guessed with just the car, others included my weight. I have measured both. This measurement was with approximately 5 gallons of fuel in the tank, as well as a small fire extinguisher and my helmet, gloves, and a couple of spanner wrenches in the car (forgot to take those out). on with the data... Car without me LF: 435_____RF: 453 LR: 427_____RR: 435 Total: 1750 Distribution: 50.7/49.3 F/R Car with me LF: 481_____RF: 445 LR: 501_____RR: 475 Total: 1902 Distribution: 48.7/51.3 F/R These are the guesses as I have them YellowSS7: 1826, 56/44 - off by 76 lbs, 5.3% Slngsht: 1650, 47/53 - off by 100 lbs, 2.3% Mandurath: 1650, 45/55 - off by 100 lbs, 5.7% Sean: 1776 - off by 26 lbs MHKFlyer: 1875, 55/45 - off by 125, 4.3% 11Budlite: 1798 lbs, 54/46 - off by 48 lbs,3.3% WestTexasS2K: 1685 lbs - off by 65 lbs Boxologist: 1704, 48/52 - off by 46 lbs, 2.7% EBurgE: 1740 - 10 lbs Bob Drye: 2008 with me - off by 106 lbs LocostV8 1800, 48/52 - off by 102 lbs, .7% Evox: 1868, 43/57 - off by 118 lbs, 7.7% ---------------------------------------------------- Winners are: Locost V8 got the weight distribution by 0.7% EburgE got the weight by 10 lbs! slngsht Posted April 6, 2009 Author Posted April 6, 2009 hmmm... good point. I *have* been watching my figure But that's not right. I think with clothes on, I'm close to 190. Interesting...
MHKflyer52 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Controversy or just blame it on the scales......
DeanG Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 That's the weight of two Se7ens! Are you packing a spare car? Did someone convince you to use those high tech lead filled frame tubes? Inquiring minds want to know.

Hank Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 He is packing the power of 2-3 Se7ens so it only seems fair for him to add weight so the ratio stays the same.
