slngsht Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 just dusted a few plates of Sushi and a few beers in Tampa. Forum is pretty quiet. What are you guys up to?
GBOLT Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 My daughter just competed in her first swim meet. Other than needing to work on stamina, she swam like a fish. Fun, but man those meets take for ever.
slngsht Posted June 12, 2009 Author Posted June 12, 2009 heh, yup, swim meets do take a long time. It's just baseball for us this year. when I land in maryland tomorrow, i'm going directly from the airport to help coach my son's baseball game. playoffs baby
GBOLT Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Sunday I am taking my 8 year son to his first autocross event. A local club has a class for kids, and a local racer offered to let him compete using his sons 2.5 hp cart. He is so excited. He has been racing cones with electric car. We'll see how he does, figure he will either cave and be too afraid, or will settle in and enjoy the ride. No way to know till we get there.
slngsht Posted June 12, 2009 Author Posted June 12, 2009 that's awesome. post some pics and vid when you're done.
scannon Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Ran some errands today in the Caterham between storms, tornados, hail, rain, etc. We seem to have 4 - 5 tornados on a daily basis this year. Craziest June weather I can remember. Right now there is a mix of rain and hail coming down.
solder_guy Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 ... the Caterham between storms ... Tornadoes and Hail? Scary in a Seven! Today I met another Sevener from Augusta .. who owns a range of Lotus cars .. Mike came by the shop to admire the Rotus .. which he described as a size bigger than his RH drive Caterham from the seventies. He has a classic license lettering on the front of his car KAR120C! (I used to have KAR120C on the front of my Celica until a deer bit it off in a road hap.) Hopefully Mike will join the forum and post pics of all his cars! Rob
Mondo Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Flying to Aspen tomorrow.... weather has been showing thunder storms all week. My sister lives in Basalt and is getting married Saturday.
solder_guy Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Saw Al Green in concert at the outdoor ampitheatre Chastain in Atlanta .. man can he sing .. puts to shame a whole generation of American Idol wannabees! making Cabbage soup tonight. Rob
