solder_guy
I was not a fan of MJ .. but my wife did remind me of many of his hits .. which I could sing without having ever bought an album. I did see a few/ several of the original Charlie's Angels episodes when they aired in the '70s. When my Dad had a birthday, his friends got THE Farah poster and wallpaper pasted it to a wall in his office! They wrote on it: "Happy 40th Birthday Bob, Love 'Farah'" My Mom spent some time trying to remove it without success. Dad just covered it with a large calendar. Ed McMahon .. well everybody loved Ed. slngsht
he was a talented artist, but this is crazy WASHINGTON (AP) — The House of Representatives paused for a moment of silence Friday to mark entertainer Michael Jackson's death. Lawmakers briefly interrupted a debate on a global warming bill to stand in silence and honor the "King of Pop." Rep. Diane Watson of California rose during the debate to suggest the House "pay tribute to the culture that he has left behind, his legacy." Watson said the lawmakers send their condolences to Jackson's family, friends and his fans worldwide. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. of Illinois said the singer changed the world and he wants to "thank God for letting all of us live in his generation and in his era." The 50-year-old musical superstar died Thursday after being stricken at his rented home in Los Angeles. How many fallen soldiers get that treatment?
