hood mockups

playing around today...

 

have an idea on the dash - windshield area, but nothing made yet. The scoop will be extended in the back and glassed in for the front. Won't proceed with everything till power steering is in, and I can make sure I will have room for putting wipers in too.

How will all the heat escape?

well, a couple of years ago, I had the full hood and my exhaust was the factory manifolds inside the body. That was HOT. since the headers immediately exit the body, I'm hoping it won't be as bad. I will also be trying to route most of the radiator air out of the suspension holes by the nose cone.

Hey Mazda, Your car looks really good in the first photo, the hood and windshield change up the naked lines that I am use to seeing. Do have front fenders for it ???

Are you going to use that scoop or just kicking around ideas.

Hey Steve, the idea is to use the scoop, but it will be glassed in to the nose, and attached to the hood, blended in and painted. The back of the scoop would be extended for a smooth finish.

On a bit more serious note I would be tempted to redo the nose and hood for a more integrated look with a bit more room.

I do like the look of the headers out the side!!
