front suspension is Rotus with rocker arms and inline shock setup .. (Where are those shocks hiding?) Nose and hood look different from Roti I have seen ..

Toyota 2TC engine is mid-late 70s Corolla .. straight four .. which was replaced with the 3TC engine in 79.

My Rotus has the rare 2TG which is DOC. At the Varsity gathering two months ago .. the old school Toyota 2TC guys were taking pics of my 2TG :D

Thanks for posting! I wish they would have posted the serial number of that car! I may be able to ID it in the Rotus owners registry of 1991.

Hi Rob,

One day you will have to post pics of your car. Not having seen an "unmolested" Rotus in the flesh before I was intrigued by the front suspension and bonnet line. I had no idea that it was not standard.

Sounds like it sold for a great price - nice spec for the money.

Is that "shelf" on the bonnet line needed to clear the engine? I thought the original Rotus design was more progressive/traditional in shape?

Cheers

The standard Rotus just has a plain aluminum bonnet. That one is not standard. And as Rob said, the nose looks different too.

The lower control arms look like the ones that came on my car (and Rob's), but the upper looks different to me - although it's been a couple of years since I ditched mine.

The upper Aarms in the Rotus carry bending loads.
