Spaz
I do not believe is street racing or endangering other drives, but this drive sure has skill/nuts. http://blog.cardomain.com/2009/10/28/in-car-footage-of-a-lotus-exige-tearing-up-a-canyon-road/
Mondo
Way braver than me, but he did seem in control... never lost traction etc... you could sure hear that supercharger wind up quick!
Boxologist
can't really give a good response w/o knowing what the speedometer was actually on or any other telemetry. its easy to go fast on an exige. excellent tyres, quiet engine w/ a supercharger, and u just stay on the gas in a turn. But Mondo is right, at no time did he look out of control.
MoPho
That is Frank, he is a local and the car is twincharged, it has both a turbo and a supercharger. It is well over 500hp. He had to put giant wheels and tires on it as well as huge fender flares, it's become a bit of cartoon car IMO. His driving is not that impressive. MHKflyer52
Funny Morgan I was thinking of a certain MG C GT Car and Driver that we both know that would be on his bumper on that road without very much effort on his part, I would suspect even you in your 7 would be on his bumper as I have tryed to chase both of you and only been able to just keep you insight between turns on some other twisties in the local area.......... Mondo
Those details (motor & tires) do make a difference... plus knowing the road. I thought I was doing good scaring riders in my car (while staying under full control). Maybe it just looks faster on camera, but I'm feeling more and more out of my league watching this stuff, Mopho, are you comfortable taking those curves at the same speed in your 7? Looking at the clip again, it wasn't really the corner speed (watching with the sound down helped) but the excelleration down the straights that made it look so fast. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't keep up. Maybe I'm more of an autox guy at heart Edited October 29, 2009 by Mondo

Steve wouldn't stand a chance in his MG Maybe it just looks faster on camera, but I'm feeling more and more out of my league watching this stuff, Mopho, are you comfortable taking those curves at the same speed in your 7? I couldn't really tell you, I tend to stick to the much tighter and slower roads, so don't usually drive that fast. I see no point in doing triple digit speeds on the road and it is one of the reasons I find the Caterham so much fun, it's exciting at lower speeds. As a matter of fact, I've barely had the car over 100 mph since I got it. I did go out driving with him back when the car was just turbocharged and a "mere 400+hp", I chased him down one of the tighter canyons (think tail of the dragon) in the Seven and he pretty much got in my way, he would go real fast down the straights but slow way down for the corners, I wasn't too impressed, nor was the product developer guy from Lotus UK who was driving a stock Elise (that he borrowed) who kept right up with him as well. Of course he went on the internet and bragged how much faster he was than me
