bsimon Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Need to find SWMBO's grandson a signed baseball for his b-day. Any experiences with Internut vendors would be helpful.
MHKflyer52 Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Whatever baseball you buy for the grandson make sure you get proof that it is a true signature. The good collector retailers will provide paperwork to support the validity of the signature and will state the number of balls the player has signed. :jester: PS: If you need a signature on a baseball I will sign one and you can have it.....not worth anything but it would be a signature on a baseball.....:jester:
Boxologist Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Need to find SWMBO's grandson a signed baseball for his b-day. Any experiences with Internut vendors would be helpful. will the child actually care about the signature? are u better off taking the family to a ball game and sending the kid to the first row during batting practice so he can ask for signatures and meet the players himself. Twenty years ago my father took me and my sister on vacation and we went to a minor league game upstate. We ended up catching a foul ball and the batter who hit the ball signed it after the game. He actually did make it up to majors for a few seasons, but moments are whats better for making memories. Going the se7en route, i would see if u could get a major league stadium to let u park in the players :drool:lot "because that where your car would be safest". your son will clean up on signatures and photos with players if u could swing that.

Can't seem to master it on a round surface.:jester: Seriously though, it seems all the web outlets claim "Official MLB" and "authenticated signature" and such. I'm just looking for experience of who to avoid. Going the se7en route, i would see if u could get a major league stadium to let u park in the players lot Excellent idea! You know, I've found that Blackhawk casino valets will find you a very safe place to park for nothing more than a spirited ride through their garage in the Seven. They seem to enjoy the "semi-permanent hearing loss" effect that the VX delivers so well in closed surroundings. (I do take the steering wheel to my room though)
